A BURY physiotherapist is ready to deal with any injured North West based celebrities and dancers when the next series of Strictly Come Dancing launches on Saturday.

Tinashe Dangarembizi — better known as Nash — was called in during the last series to treat actress Gemma Atkinson and chef Simon Rimmer, plus professional dancers Alijaz Skorjanec and Gorka Marquez.

They all sustained injured during rehearsals for the popular series.

“I was originally recommended by someone at the Virgin Active gym at Salford Quays who I’d treated and where Gemma trains,” said Nash.

“She was happy with the treatment I gave her for her injury and recommended her dance partner Alijaz, fellow contestant Simon and then her boyfriend Gorka.”

Since then, Nash has continued to see Gemma — a keen fitness fan with her own line of fitness clothing — for a maintenance programme.

Now, Nash is waiting like the rest of the country to find out how the contestants of this year's Strictly get on.

Nash — a chartered physiotherapist with a master’s degree in physiotherapy, a B Sc in Sports Therapy and is a qualified acupuncturist — has got himself a reputation as “physio to the stars”.

He is currently also treating Manchester’s former WBA lightweight boxing champion Anthony Crolla.

“Dancers and sports people often get injured”, Nash said.

“It’s great to treat famous people but I’m the same with everyone and have a real cross-section of patients.”

He also treats businesspeople in the workplace and is a great believer in investing in stress-relieving sessions “to help get the most out of the workforce and to keep people happy at work”.

As well as his Bury clinic in Mindon House, he also has a clinic in Failsworth, Manchester.
