A 13-YEAR-OLD boy has been fined by Manchester magistrates after he was caught driving a car in Bury on March 14.

The court heard how the teenager was behind the wheel of a Skoda Fabia on :Langdale Drive, Bury when he drove the vehicle without care and attention and without a licence or insurance.

The boy, from Audenshaw, who can not be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to committing the offences.

He was fined £120, ordered to pay £160 in compensation and £85 towards prosecution costs. His driving record was also endorsed with eight penalty points.

nA PENSIONER has been banned from the roads for two years after he admitted drink driving. Manchester magistrates heard how Anthony Murphy, aged 69, of Padiham Close, Bury, had drunk more than twice the legal level of alcohol when he drove a Seat Leon on Radcliffe Road, Bury, on August 21.

In addition to the driving ban he was fined £170 and ordered to pay £115 in costs and charges.

nA DRIVER has been fined £120 after he was caught using a Chrysler 300 car on the M602 motorway at Salford without a licence or insurance. The case against Delshad Hamad, aged 28, of Hurst Street, Bury, was proved at Manchester Magistrates' Court.

He was also ordered to pay £115 in costs and charges and seven penalty points were added to his licence.

nA WOMAN has been sentenced to a conditional discharge for 12 months by Manchester magistrates after she admitted being drunk and disorderly in Ashwood Avenue, Ramsbottom, on August 8.

Elaine Fallowes, aged 51, of Ashwood Avenue, pleaded guilty to committing the offence and, in addition to the sentence, was ordered to pay £105 in costs and charges.

nA MAN who smashed car windows on three vehicles on May 9 has been electronically tagged and sentenced to a six week, 7pm to 7am curfew. Mark Wild, aged 37, of Hillside Crescent, Bury, pleaded guilty and must also pay a total of £330 in costs and compensation.
