The Salford Film Festival has been revived, with a little help from some famous friends.
The return of the festival was supported by Sir Ben Kingsley among others.
Highlights include Joy Division: The Documentary, introduced by Peter Hook, five of Sir Ben Kingsley's films screening for free, Stella Grundy's Nico Icon, the acclaimed production of the life of the Salford based Velvet Underground legend showing for two nights and The Tally - coal and soul in a world premiere made by the ex mining community of Higher Folds.
