BURY have been handed a money-spinning clash after being drawn at home to Burnley in the first round of the Carling Cup.

Alan Knill's side will entertain the Championship club at Gigg Lane on the week commencing August 11.

And the Shakers will be hoping to go one better than they did when the two rivals met at the same stage of the competition in 2004 when the Clarets ran out 3-2 winners.
