ALAN Knill says he will instill a winning mentality into his Bury charges during their forthcoming League Two campaign.
The Shakers have been impressive since Knill came to the club in February, losing only four of their 18 games under the former Rotherham manager.
And Knill will be using that as a catalyst for success this term.
"I think it helps that we only lost four in 18 once I came to the club last season," said Knill. "I have kept most of that squad together and added Efe Sodje and Wayne Brown to it. They are players who definitely know what it's like to win.
"Hopefully their influence will rub off on the other players.
"I am a big believer that you need to be winning everyday at whatever you do. Winning is even important in training.
"I want to instill that in the team and they took that on board pretty quickly last year."
Knill admits it will take lots of hard work for his team to achieve their targets, and added: "I believe in a certain way of doing things. If people come to work, they work. They can relax at home.
"When the players come to work, they need to learn.
"I try to make sure that happens while they are here they, so they improve."
