A number of people from Bolton have recently been before the courts.

Magistrates have dealt with a  number of offences.

Here are the people who have recently been in the dock.

Joshua Hagan failed to provide a specimen of analysis to the police.

Officers were investigating whether the 31-year-old had committed an offence in Bolton in February this year.

Hagan failed to provide one.

He admitted the offence at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court.

Following this Hagan, from Blackburn Road, Egerton, Bolton, was placed on a community order to last for a year.

He was ordered to do 40 hours of unpaid work and banned from driving for 17 months.

Gary Beck drove a Ford Transit on Jackson Road, Oxford, while disqualified in March this year.

On the same day the 52-year-old resisted a police constable in the execution of their duty.

Beck, from Aspinall Court, Horwich, admitted the two offences at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court.

Following this he was given a sentence of 12 weeks suspended for a year.

He was ordered to attend 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days and to complete 100 hours of unpaid work.

As well as this Beck was banned from the roads for four years.

Peter Hassall was charged with abstract/ use without authority electricity in January this year.

On the same day he was abusive towards a police officer causing them to fear harassment.

Hassall, from Fortune Street, Great Lever, admitted the two offences at Bolton Magistrates Court.

The 51-year-old was placed on a community order to last for a year and ordered to complete 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days.

He was also fined £120.
