The new Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police was named today.
He is Mr Peter Fahy, the current chief constable of the Cheshire force.
Mr Fahy succeeds Michael Todd, 50, who died after an apparent suicide on March 11, in Snowdonia, north Wales.
The new chief will be tasked with running one of the country’s biggest and most high-profile police forces.
