Plenty of smiles at summer fun day

A SUMMER fun day staged by Bury Grammar School for Boys raised plenty of smiles — and £4,700.

Visitors flocked to the playing fields to take part in last Sunday’s event which showcased a host of attractions, including stalls, games, a visit by Crocodile Joe and an auction which raised £1,500. A tank ride and a flight for four in a light aircraft were just some of the prizes. The event was organised by the Parents Association of the Boys’ School. Several projects will benefit from the proceeds including one to strengthen the stage.
