A 10ft-long python fascinated locals when it slithered its way into a busy pub – but it was all in the name of charity.
Denise Frain, from Bolton Reptile Rescue, and her daughter, Cora, aged 14, visited the Hark To Towler in Tottington with the snake to raise money for Help For Heroes.
Regulars made a donation to have their picture taken with the Burmese python, named Flake the Snake, at a reptile night.
The evening raised £60 for the charity, which helps raise funds for injured members of the British Armed Forces.
Denise said: “It was the first time some people had seen a snake and they found it fascinating.
“We will hold the event again and next time it will be bigger and better.”
