ENTHUSIASTIC photographers can win bags of exposure by capturing a familiar image to be featured in a 2011 Bury calendar.

Bury Society for Blind and Partially Sighted People has launched its competition to find 12 winning pictures for its charity calendar.

The Bury Times Group has linked up with the organisation to promote the society’s fundraising venture.

Camera buffs are being asked to send in photographs which celebrate some of the borough’s most popular outdoor locations. The top 12 entries will be printed in the calendar.

The deadline for photographs is April 2 and the cost per entry is £1.

Photographs should be submitted, along with the appropriate entry fee, to Bury Society for Blind and Partially Sighted People, Bolton Street, Bury.

Proceeds from the sale of the calendars, which should be available to buy this autumn, will support the work of the organisation.
