POLICE are appealing for information about a getaway car dumped by axe-wielding robbers.

The black left-hand drive BMW was found burnt out in Griffe Lane, Bury, on February 27.

Four men broke into a flat in Rochdale carrying pick axes earlier that day.

The car had Czech registration plates, number 4T82345.
