Police want help identifying a man after a girl was sexually assaulted in Bury.
At around 10pm on Saturday 3, the 15-year-old girl was walking down Haymarket Street when she noticed an Asian man was following her.
He approached her on John Street and sexually assaulted her.
She managed to struggle free and ran off towards Bell Street.
The offender walked away towards McDonalds.
He was caught on CCTV and is described as being around 20 years old, of medium build and between 5ft 3ins and 5ft 4ins tall. He was wearing jeans, a pink top and a jacket.
Detective Inspector Victoria Shaw said: "This was a nasty, sexually motivated attack on an innocent young girl that has left her feeling understandably shocked and upset.
"There may have been people in the street that saw the man in the CCTV footage, so I'm asking anyone who thinks they can help to call us."
Anyone with any information can ring Bury CID on 856 8150 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
