Three vehicle crash causing delays at Simister Island
A CRASH involving two cars and a lorry has closed one lane of the M62 near Bury.
Traffic is building up following the incident, between Junction 18 at Simister Island and Junction 19 at Heywood on the westbound carriageway of the motorway.
The cars had become wedged on either side of the lorry, causing all three lanes of the motorway to be blocked, but lanes two and three were reopened at about 4pm.
Traffic is backing up to Junction 15 at the Swinton Interchange, and to Junction 20 at Rochdale because of rubberneckers slowing to look at the accident.
