A COW on the motorway has caused delays in both directions on the M62.
The incident has affected both the westbound and eastbound carriageway from Junction 18 at Simister Island to Junction 19 at Heywood this afternoon, as the cow moved to the other side of the motorway.
Cars have been at a standstill while officers from the North West Motorway Police and Highways England dealt with the incident, which has now been resolved.
On Twitter, the North West Motorway Police said: "Bullock incident M62 J20-J19 has now been resolved. Both carriageways will be being reopened as soon as possible."
Lets hope that traffic can now get moo-ving again.
