A MAN has been arrested after an assault at the Courteeners gig at Heaton Park that left the victim needing two plates inserting into his cheek.

The victim, aged 27, was attacked while attending the concert on Friday, June 5, and had his cheekbone fractured in two places.

He was later admitted to hospital and needed an operation to have two plates inserted into his face to stabilise his cheekbone.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and has been bailed until a date in July.
