A SERIES of free summer roadshows staged by Six Town Housing continued at Bury's Hoyles Park.
More than 100 people were entertained while also being able to access free “health and wealth” advice at the BREAD (Budgeting, Rent, Energy, Advice and Debt) event.
Experts were on hand to provide advice on money matters and general health.
Angela Davies, a Six Town Housing resident who attended, said: “It’s great to see Six Town Housing connecting with tenants, giving out useful advice on health and wellbeing.”
There was also free entertainment for children, including face painting, balloon modelling and a bouncy castle.
Sporty activities were provided by a coach from the 'I Will If You Will' fitness movement in Bury, while Kelloggs and Warburtons also donated cereal and bread, which were given out to those who attended the roadshow.
There was some rain during the event, but it did not seem to dampen spirits.
Parent Anne Wass commented: "I’ve really enjoyed it. It’s a shame about the weather but the kids still enjoyed themselves.”
The roadshows have occurred in parks across the borough throughout summer, with the final event having taken place at Peel Brow, Ramsbottom, on Tuesday (Aug 25).
Councillor Rishi Shori, deputy leader of Bury Council, said: “The events helped Six Town Housing tenants keep the kids entertained during the summer holidays and also helped signpost them to ways they can save money or maintain a healthy lifestyle.”
