WORSHIPPERS at Bury's Islamic Centre and Mosque gathered for prayers to celebrate Eid-Ul-Adha.
The religious event was held after the Hajj ( The Pilgrim ) at Mecca in Saudi Arabia where more than two million Muslims took part.
Prayers at the Islamic Centre and Mosque in Church Street were led by Qari Hafiz Mohammad Mustaq. Worshippers prayed for peace in the world and for Muslims in Middle East to unite and help the world to be a peaceful place. Special prayers were also offered for Hajj victims who died during a stampede.
The occasion also saw children and adults wear new clothes and families cooking special meals.
