PEOPLE aged 50 and above are invited to a stylish new fitness class in Bury.
Age UK Bury has launched the new class in Nordic Walking from the Jubilee Centre, in Mosley Avenue, every Thursday from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.
Nordic walking is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels although Age UK has specially designed classes for people over 50, people with health concerns, and people who wish to improve their fitness, lose weight and tone up.
Andy Hazeldine, Chief Officer of Age UK Bury, said “We are really pleased to offer Nordic Walking at the Jubilee Centre.
“Our qualified instructor Diana Askew is an excellent tutor who is always full of enthusiasm and very experienced in supporting older people to try out new activities.
“Our Jubilee Centre, which is situated opposite the beautiful Clarence Park Lido, is the perfect setting for this new class as we are close to Chesham Woods.”
Nordic walking poles are provided and each session costs £3.80 per person.
