Order

A MAN has been jailed for 16 weeks for breaching a restraining order.

Charles Roscow, aged 31, of Hillside Road, Ramsbottom, that he breached the order in Bury on June 16 by contacting a woman.

Magistrates said Roscow had breached the order on a number of occasions.

Theft

A SHOPLIFTER has been jailed for 12 weeks after targeting the same shop four times in eight days.

John Darbo, aged 54, of Chesham Crescent, Bury, stole £350 worth of meat from Marks and Spencer in Bury on June 17, June 18, June 24 and June 25 and admitted four counts of theft to Bury magistrates.

Driving

GARY Hayes, aged 48, of Croston Close Road, Bury, has been given three penalty points and ordered to pay £160 in fines and court costs after admitting to Salford magistrates that he drove a Vauxhall Combo Can in Ashton Old Road, Manchester, on December 8 last year while using a mobile phone.

Obstruction

A WOMAN has been fined £100 – for stopping her car in the middle of a road.

Joanna McGurk, aged 39, of Harrison Street, Ramsbottom, drove a Nissan Almera in Old Boatyard Lane, Worsley, on September 15 last year and stopped in the road.

At Salford Magistrates Court, McGurk denied a charge of causing a vehicle to stand in a road so as to cause an unnecessary obstruction and she was found guilty.

McGurk was also ordered to pay £320 court costs.
