EIGHT people were arrested for public order offences, encroaching on to the pitch and being drunk and disorderly at the Bury vs Bolton football match at Gigg Lane on Monday evening.
Six were charged and two were given fixed penalty tickets.
A spokesman said the police and the Crown Prosecution Service will be seeking football banning orders for the people charged.
A total of 8,007 fans crammed into Gigg Lane for Bury's largest home attendance in 18 months, which saw the Shakers lose 2-0 to Bolton Wanderers.
