A TEAM of soap stars will be special guests at a charity football match in Radcliffe this weekend.
Television favourites from shows including Coronation Street, Emmerdale, and Hollyoaks will take on an emergency services squad as part of a community fun day at Radcliffe Borough FC on Sunday.
The event, which will also include face painting and a bouncy castle, will raise money to help the club’s community trust continue to run Friday night football sessions for youngsters in the town.
Bernard Manning Jr, the club’s former chairman, said: “This time last year we did something similar and it was a great success.
“I hope the people of Radcliffe will come out to support us again.”
Gates open to the ground at 12.30pm, for a 2pm kick-off. Entry is £3 for adults and £2 for children.
