SUPERJOSH founder Dawn Fidler brings you her latest blog

A HUGE thank you to Sacha Lord-Marchione and everyone at the Warehouse Project who have so far raised a staggering £6,128 during their #Whp16 season for SuperJosh.

These funds make such a huge difference to so many of our families.

So far, they have helped fund travel and living expenses to America for a family who are taking their four-year-old son for proton therapy treatment for his brain tumour.

This means that dad and baby sister have been able to visit and spend vital and quality time together as a family.

We’ve also funded six hospital expenses grants to help families through the massive expenses hospital brings.

This can include meals, coffee, time away from work and don't get me started on hospital parking costs!

Alongside this we've been able to fund counselling sessions for parents, advice and support sessions in hospital and three iPads for children who have needed them to help with communication and interaction needs.

Unbelievable support making a massive difference to so many families. Thank you!

I wanted to say thank you to Tottington and Bury West Rotary for inviting me to the dinner meeting talk last week. It was great to meet everyone, and a fantastic opportunity to raise more awareness of my Josh and his amazing charity.

If you would like to find out more about what we do, and how your club, group or society can get involved, please get in touch and we will be happy to arrange something.

Last weekend, we were delighted to be involved with Rock it for Santa, on The Rock. A huge well done to Linzi and Mel for a fantastic opening parade welcoming Santa to town.

Josh's friend from school, Adam, was a special visitor and front of the queue after the competition winners. He loved every minute, and it is so special to us to be able to help create such happy family memories.

Thanks also to everyone who donated and helped raise £353.65 for us to help other families.

We have a busy few days coming up.

Today, we will be at the Made in Bury Business Awards celebrating all the wonderful achievements of local businesses.

We are so proud to have been shortlisted in the Community Impact Award, but there is some very tough competition. Good luck to everyone and all the finalists.

Tomorrow, we are at the Mayor of Bury's Ball, which we know is going to be another fantastic event supporting three local charities, including Josh's.
