ARMED robbers threatened a cash delivery driver at a supermarket with a machete before fleeing with a "significant amount of money".
The robbery happened at 5.50am at Asda in Pilsworth yesterday and police are now appealing for witnesses.
A spokesman said: "Police were called to a shop on Pilsworth Road to reports of an armed robbery.
"Two masked men approached a cash delivery driver, threatened him with a machete and demanded he hand over a cash box.
"The men then got into a black saloon and fled the scene with a significant amount of cash."
An Asda spokesperson said: “We’re currently assisting the Police with their enquiries.”
