A SUMMER festival will provide farmers and pet owners with a chance to show off their best animals.

Bury Agricultural Show, announced for June 25, will also offer fun for all the family.

The event, at Burrs Country Park, will include showing and judging of cattle, sheep, horses, donkeys, ferrets, and dogs.

There will also be arts and crafts, hotrods, a steel band, exotic animals, rural crafts, trade and charity stands, a children’s fairground, an army climbing wall, and paintball.

It will run from 9am to 5pm.

The event is being run by Bury Agricultural Society and will be the 74th of its kind in the town.

A society spokesman said: "The Bury show is a wonderful day out for the entire family.

"There are many attractions, competitions and exhibitions for both children and adults."
