SUPERJOSH founder Dawn Fidler brings you her latest blog

WE have just had what can only be described as the most phenomenal of weekends at Parklife.

The atmosphere and vibe all weekend, no matter what the weather, was inspiring with so many people wanting to get involved, offer their support and make donations.

Our final count from the weekend from our stands and the kindness of the bar staff who donated their tips, shows we raised a staggering £26,023!

I am totally overwhelmed by the amount raised.

Our Thumbraisers are legends and pulled out all the stops to push through a long (and sometimes wet) weekend, always smiling and having a laugh.

We had so much fun, I cant thank you them enough for dedicating their time off to come and help.

Thank you also to everyone who donated supplies for us to sell, such as water, snacks and even toilet rolls.

These things really do make the biggest difference when it comes to raising funds, and we all appreciate it so much.

Finally, a very special thank you to our patron, Sacha Lord Marchionne, and all the Parklife team for their constant and incredible support.

A massive well done for pulling off another hugely successful event.

There was so much love in Heaton Park this weekend and a real sense of togetherness, it was inspiring.

No charity can survive without donations, but for us awareness is just as important. This week I will be following up with five families that need our support that we met at the festival who were not previously aware of us.

It is a wonderful feeling to know we are going to be able to help more people. And, with the money raised, we are going to be able to make a huge dent in our current waiting list.

I look forward to sharing updates with you over the next few months on how the money has been spent, and the ways we have been able to support our families.

Next up we have Tiger Fest this weekend at Sedgley Park Rugby Club in Whitefield. Starting tomorrow at noon, there will be a lots of ales, a barbecue, Black Pudding stall, live music and even a gin and vodka bar!

Saturday afternoon is fun for the kids with a bouncy castle, rides and games.

Thank you to the club for choosing to support Josh's Charity, we look forward to another busy weekend spreading out SuperJosh magic!
