The Met in Bury has been awarded £402,320 in the latest round of Arts Council England funding.
The arts and music centre is one of 831 organisations around England to receive funding from the organisation for 2018 to 2022.
Arts Council England announced today which groups would be part of the National Portfolio – the collection of leading arts and cultural organisations that receive regular funding from the council.
Met director David Agnew said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have secured this funding for Bury over the next four years.”
The money will be spread out over four years and follows a similar boost for from the council of £301,739 for the Met, which recently benefited from a £4.6 million refurbishment, between 2015 and 2018.

The Octagon Theatre in Bolton also received £2,456,240 in funding.
Speaking at the announcement in Leicester, Nicholas Seroto, chairman of Arts Council England said: “Today we are announcing the largest ever investment in the Arts Council National Portfolio.
“These are the organisations that get regular annual funding so they can be leaders in their field.”
