FESTIVE magic is just around the corner with preparations well under way for the third Tottington Methodist Church Christmas tree festival.

From December 7 to 9 the church on Market Street will be adorned with 25 trees, lit and decorated in a variety of themes, sponsored by local shops and businesses, church organisations and members, and will also feature craft stalls, and a café.

Entertainment will be provided across the three days including from the church’s own organist and additional musicians.

Tottington Primary School choir will perform at 2pm on the Thursday and Halcombe Alphorn Duo will provide traditional Swiss music on the following day from 2.30pm.

There will be carol singing around the Christmas tree outside the church at 11am on Saturday, followed by entertainment from a Saxophone Quartet at 2pm.

The festival opens from 2pm to 5.30pm on the Thursday and Friday and from 10am to 5pm on Saturday.

Admission is free, however the festival is supporting the British Red Cross and Drumbeat, a charity providing education for Ugandan children, and will donate a share of proceeds raised.
