PEOPLE are being warned about widespread fog expected to hit the area tonight.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather for fog to run from 7pm today until 11am tomorrow in the North West of England.
Fog patches are likely to form during the early part of Wednesday evening, becoming more widespread overnight with the visibility falling below 100 metres in places.
The fog will thin slowly later on Thursday morning, although some patches may persist into the afternoon.
People are being warned some journeys may take longer than usual.
