A FAMILY has been forced to move out for the night after high winds blew a neighbour's gazebo into their home.
The structure came loose from its moorings and its metal poles impaled itself in the roof of the bungalow, causing serious damage.
Fire crews were called to the property, in Parkstone Avenue, Whitefield this afternoon and have removed the canvas and tarpaulin from the roof.
But due to the possible structural problems the family has been advised not to spend the night there.
A building control officer from Bury Council has visited the bungalow and insurance assessors and builders are expected to be on site tomorrow (Thursday).
It is understood that the gazebo was being put up for an event in a neighbour's garden when the wind blew it away.
