SUPERJOSH founder Dawn Fidler brings you her latest blog The past two weeks have been crazy for our amazing team.

Everyone knows we like a challenge, but we really have pushed it to an extreme! First our team smashed GUNG-HO, Europe’s largest 5k inflatable obstacle course, which was held in Heaton Park.

Everyone, including our team of marshals, worked really hard in the freezing cold and rain, but also had lots of fun.

Then, last Saturday, our team of 50 walkers and 15 support cars and first-aiders took on a 36-mile challenge, walking from Blackpool back to Bury.

It was both a huge physical and mental challenge and it took our team about 12 hours to complete.

I am so proud of everyone who took part and helped make the day such a success.

The weather was perfect and really sunny.

Our walkers really dug in deep through the miles to complete their challenge, which we simply couldn’t have done without our first aiders and support car team who were an incredible support. If you saw our team in their blue SuperJosh T-shirts along the route and beeped at us. Thank you! Everyone’s encouragement was amazing and really helped us along.

There are many blisters, aches and pains this week, but also a huge sense of team spirit and achievement.

Thank you everyone who was involved in any way - it really was an epic day!

The main goal in all everyone’s minds during both events, was the help they were going to give to the families we help and support through their fundraising and the event awareness for Josh's charity.

We help children and young people who have brain tumours and post-surgery disabilities.

Through our work, we help families with financial support, counselling, equipment, respite, house adaptations, advice sessions - basically what ever direct support they need.

We constantly have a waiting list of families that have been referred to us for our help, so it’s amazing to have teams taking on challenges and fundraising to help us support them.
