AN EVENING concert helped raise money for a Bury charity specialising in helping people with the language impairment aphasia.
The Friends of Bolton School Choir hosted an event at their arts centre to fundraise for Speakeasy.
Led by choirmaster Andrea Price, The Friends Choir performed hits from The Lion King, My Fair Lady, Carousel and The Sound of Music.
They were joined by talented pupils, some as young as seven, alumni and staff from the music departments.
A cake sale and raffle also helped bring the overall amount raised for Speakeasy to £600.
The money raised will help to provide support and therapeutic activities for people with aphasia and their families.
