TWO enterprising Bury companies certainly made a big meal of it when they scooped triple honours at the Business for Breakfast (B4B) annual awards dinner.

Ian Oliver, of Property Search Group, and Kathryn Burns, of online portal The Best of Bury, were awarded Executive Team of the Year at the event held at Manchester's Renaissance Hotel.

And special recognition was also extended to Kathryn who received a further citation award for excellence as Member of the Year'.

B4B, which has a franchise in Bury, is one of the UK's leading networking organisations, Now in their third year, the awards recognise members and the cream of the business industry for their achievements within the B4B network. Hosted by company founders, John and Mel Fisher, the event attracted more than 200 representatives from the UK's elite small and medium-sized enterprise sector.

With in excess of 1,000 members, the award winners were carefully selected and nominated by each Business For Breakfast franchise director using a set of pre-defined criteria and key performance indicators.

During the event, Prestwich actress Casey-Lee Jolleys, who played Fred Elliott's Thai bride Orchid in Coronation Street, accepted a £3,000 cheque on behalf of the Variety Club of Great Britain, B4B's nominated charity. The money was raised at the awards.
