UK financial watchdog, the Financial Services Authority, is helping North West workers learn how to manage their money more effectively.

Up to 79 per cent of people in the region have not actively considered making financial provision for their retirement. And only 20 per cent are confident their retirement income will give them an expected standard of living according to the FSA.

Its programme provides free financial education to employees, delivered by specially-trained presenters. Staff also receive a comprehensive booklet building on the presentation content or an interactive disk.
