Woman rescued by firefighters

Comments (0)FIREFIGHTERS battled for 30 minutes to free a woman passenger trapped in a car following a head-on collision.
The female, a front seat passenger in a Vauxhall Corsa, suffered no apparent injuries following the crash which happened at the junction of Hollins Lane and Parr Lane, Unsworth, at 8.30pm on Friday.
Fire crews from Whitefield and Bury freed her after 30 minutes. The male driver of the Corsa had an injury to his head.
The driver of the other car involved, a Renault Clio, sustained a suspected fractured wrist and was taken to hospital.
