IT was ‘lights, camera, action’ for pupils at a Ramsbottom school who swapped their pens for a video camera.
For year one pupils at Peel Brow Primary School made a short film based on the popular children’s character Barnaby Bear.
They researched, wrote and produced the film during lessons at the Fir Street school.
And judges at the borough’s annual media awards were so impressed with the film that it was named as the winner in the key stage one category.
Year one teacher Susan Field said: “I am very proud of the children. It was a lot of work for five and six-years-olds to do, but they did a very good job. I am really pleased that they won.”
