RESIDENTS can feel safer in their homes thanks to a new scheme on Bolton Road estate in Radcliffe.
Houses have been fitted with security measures, including door scopes and chains, window and door alarms and personal alarms.
The scheme was organised by Bolton Road Tenants’ and Residents’ Association, with funding from the Police Property Act Fund.
The work was carried out by caretakers from Six Town Housing.
Donna Cartwright, community involvement officer for Six Town Housing, said: “It has been a great success and it has made so many people feel more secure and safer in their own homes.”
Police community support officers also visited the homes of vulnerable and elderly residents to discuss their personal safety.
