Do you think it is right that the landlord of the Duke William pub in Ainsworth has been ordered to pull down a smoking shelter which had been built without planning permission?

Baby day to help expectant parents

EXPECTANT parents can find out all they need to know at a baby day in Bury.

Information and advice on everything from water births and car safety to nappies and breast feeding will be available from midwives and childcare specialists.

New and expectant mums and dads can find out about local courses and what support is available to them, both before and after the baby's arrival.

The baby day will be held from 11am to 2pm on Saturday in the Broad Oak Suite, at Fairfield General Hospital. The event has been organised by the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) and admission is free.

Karen Sillet, a post-natal trainer with the NCT, said: "This is a great event, especially for all those new and expectant parents to help them through what is a joyful but sometimes difficult time. There's lots of help and advice on hand and we hope people will join us to see just what's out there."

Anyone looking for more information can contact Karen on (0161) 764 3169.
