BURY-born actress Fiona Allen has pledged her support for a conservation organisation guarding wildlife in Malawi.
Project African Wilderness (PAW), based in Manchester, aims to protect the stunning Mwabvi Wildlife Reserve in southern Malawi, and to reintroduce the black rhinos that use to live there.
PAW hopes to create a sustainable future for the reserve and also helping the villages in the surrounding area.

One of its main fundraising ventures is for people to embark on a cycle ride next year across the northern landscape of Malawi.
Fiona said: "When I heard about PAW and the incredible difference they have already made in Mwabvi, to both the local people and the environment, I immediately wanted to offer my support.
"It's shocking to think that this fragile area might disappear within my lifetime and my children may never see it.
"The long-term aim of the project is to allow animals and people to once again co-exist."
