STAFF at solicitors Woodcocks had a "yabba dabba do time" at a bowling night when they helped to raise more than £900 for Bury Hospice.

For one of the company's teams was crowned winner of the best fancy dress competition after donning costumes inspired by The Flintstones. They called themselves The Bedrockers.

Colleagues also came to the event as the Pink Ladies, with half dressed as the famous Grease characters and half as Peter Kay's dinner ladies.

Woodcocks, based in Manchester Road, Bury, entered five teams into the competition.

The event, organised by Bury Hospice, was held at the Tenpin bowling alley in Pilsworth, who donated the lanes free of charge.

Dave McCann, Woodcocks' partner, said: "We have supported the hospice before, so when we heard about the bowling night we were more than happy to get involved. The staff got into the spirit of things by donning fancy dress and it's great that our efforts paid off.
