Greenmount man shot in leg by raiders

A man was shot during what is believed to have been a bungled carjacking in Greenmount.
Police were called to a house in Brookhouse Mill Lane at 2.30am today after residents heard gunfire.
Officers arrived at the scene to find a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his thigh, though his injuries are not life threatening.
The end of Brookhouse Mill Lane was cordoned off for forensic examination.
No other details of the shooting have so far been released by police.
