SHE’S virtually “royalty” at the Palace.

That’s Bury woman Sharon Cameron who is celebrating the “perfect 10.”

For she is marking the fact that she has completed a decade at Manchester’s popular Palace Hotel, part of PH Hotels, where she is regional sales director.

Sharon is a well known face in the region and there are few people within the Manchester business community who do not know of her unstinting work for The Palace and, indeed, as an ambassador of the city.

Over the years she has met people from all strands of life, from sporting greats, business leaders and legends such as the Bee Gees, Sir Cliff Richard, Daniel O’Donnell and David Essex, to royalty, nobility, a UK Prime Minister and members of state from around the world.

Any charity that has held an event at The Palace Hotel is likely to have been the recipient of Sharon’s magic touch.

Lyn Staunton, develop-ment director of Variety, the children's charity, said: “It is always an absolute pleasure and a great honour to have Sharon Cameron over-seeing our events.

“Sharon is the ultimate professional and knows exactly what her clients expect, then she delivers everything with the most amazing smile that exudes from her inner confidence.”

Sharon said: “When you enjoy what you do, the time flies exceeding quickly.

“I find it hard to believe I am celebrating a decade of being based in this beautiful hotel with our brilliant in-house teams and meeting the many thousands of people who enter The Palace Hotel, all of whom are our VIPs.”

Hotel general manager of Richard Grove also paid tribute to Sharon, saying: “I have been fortunate to work with many amazing colleagues over the years and Sharon is among the most accomplished of them all.

“Her dedication, professionalism and drive are some of the main reasons why The Palace Hotel has been so successful.”
