Raymat Quilts and Textiles is consolidating its presence in the town while announcing bold plans to increase its workforce as a result and command a trading foothold online.

The family-run bedding firm has purchased additional premises as part of ongoing business expansion plans.

Raymat Quilts and Textiles has bought the building next door to the business which is located in Bridgefield Street, Radcliffe. The company has been supported in the venture by the NatWest bank.

The 15,000sq ft building will house a new showroom as well as providing additional storage facilities. And the business has also announced that up to 10 new jobs are to be created as part of the expansion.

“Although we began from very humble beginnings we are now one of the UK's largest bedding importers. We provide customers with a bit of luxury because that is what you want when you go to sleep at night.

“We are creating new jobs with the expansion and are looking to employ a digital marketing expert so we can improve our presence online and reach customers that way.”

When the time came to expand the business with the additional premises, Qasim turned to NatWest relationship manager Fadi Fattahi, who secured a six-figure loan to aid with the purchase. The full amount of the loan has not been disclosed.

Qasim added: “Fadi has been fantastic throughout the process. He has been my bank manager for the past few years and he knows what we do and what we require. He keeps in regular contact and is great to work with. We have a very good relationship.”

Fadi said: “I was delighted to support Qasim and Raymat on the expansion of the business which has gone from strength to strength. I wish them every success.”
