LEGAL firm Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall have strengthened its specialist commercial department after one of its trainees qualified as a solicitor.
Eleanor Cornthwaite, who is 25 and based at the firm’s Manchester Road office in Bury, will help clients with a range of commercial property disputes.
She will also assist local businesses by bolstering Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall’s commercial property dispute resolution team, a specialist service which helps commercial landlords and tenants achieve their commercial aims.
Eleanor said: "I am proud to be part of a growing team that delivers expert advice, the aim being to resolve disputes without the need to resort to protracted and costly litigation.
“It’s a complex area of law which often leaves landlords and tenants in need of straightforward and cost effective advice. .
Senior partner and head of commercial dispute resolution, David McCann, added: “As a firm we are always keen to recruit the best calibre local graduates who understand the people and the nature of businesses in Bury."
Eleanor studied an undergraduate honours degree in law at Newcastle University before completing a graduate diploma and Legal practice course at BPP, Manchester. She joined Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall in 2012 and completed her training contract in the firm’s corporate and commercial departments.
