Howarth Timber and Building Supplies is cooking up a treat for customers in Bury this month – all in the name of charity.
On Thursday 23rd March, the company’s Bury branch will host a breakfast morning in aid of Howarth’s 2017/18 charity partner, Cancer Research UK.
As well as filling up on a tasty cooked breakfast, customers will be able to take part in competitions and meet Howarth Timber’s suppliers, with extra fundraising events taking place on the day. Full details of the events can be found on Howarth Timber’s website.
Howarth Timber is raising money for Cancer Research UK throughout the year, with company-wide initiatives as well as individual staff member fundraising efforts. The funds raised will support the life-saving work that Cancer Research UK carries out, such as the development of new screening techniques to detect cancer earlier.
Commenting on the fundraising breakfast morning, Bury branch manager, Cameron Reid, said: "I’m very happy to be lending our support to Cancer Research UK’s vital work. Howarth Timber stores across the UK are getting involved in the fundraising efforts, and I’m sure that customers in Bury will dig deep for this very worthy cause.
“Cancer Research UK’s work resonates strongly with everyone at Howarth Timber, and we are very much looking forward to doing everything we can to promote the work they do and raise as much money as we can over the next two years."
