Business Awards 2008
Prince adds royal touch to proceedings

NORMAN Prince is Bolton's Mr Entertainment.

And he will be hosting the Business Awards at the Reebok in June.

Norman is a popular figure on the the local after-dinner circuit and he will be making sure the order of the awards evening runs smoothly.

He is best known as being the front man and leader of the country's top comedy folk band, The Houghton Weavers, and has been a freelance presenter for BBC Local Radio for the past 14 years.

Norman has spent 30 years in show business and is sought after for his ability to look at the funnier side of life.

He has also appeared in pantomime, playing comedy roles of Buttons and Idle Jack.

And in 1999, he starred individually with Keith Harris & Orville in the record breaking pantomime Red Riding Hood at the Southport Theatre.

Norman was a presenter on BBC Radio Manchester (formerly GMR) for 10 years. His weekend programme became the most-listened-to radio programme in the region, with figures beating Radio One and Two.

In 1994, he moved to BBC Radio Lancashire where he again broke station records with his weekend programme.
