Amateur snappers considered setting up a photographic society in the town.

Radcliffe Fire Station, which had been ear-marked for closure four years earlier, would not be replaced by a new building in Whitefield before 1966.

St Thomas' Sunday School held a production of Little Bo Peep.

More than 200 people attended a party held by the Full Gospel Tabernacle Sunday School.

Radcliffe Council said it would not pay bands to play in the town's parks because they were too expensive.

Bury Transport Department blamed "insufficient demand" for the lack of a bus service between Bolton Road estate and Radcliffe Market.
