PART of a light industrial unit in Milltown Street, Radcliffe, could be demolished to make way for a car park.
Developers want to knock down part of the Trumeter Works to create parking spaces for people who work for neighbouring businesses.
It would also give more space for a vehicle servicing area and make it easier for lorries to leave the site.
Fuzed Architecture and Design has applied to Bury Council for permission to make the changes.
In the application form, it states: “The current servicing arrangements pose a serious hazard to other users of Milltown Street. Articulated vehicles reverse onto the site, straddle the pavement and protrude into the road lane, blocking visibility and forcing all passing vehicles into the opposite lane.”
The council aims to reach a decision by January 6.
