We owe a huge thank you to everyone who supported the event, in particular the main sponsors, Nationwide and Peel Holdings, whose support made a massive difference to the evening."
Auction prizes included a Top Gun' experience in a fighter plane, a day on board a Royal Navy ship and an England football shirt signed by new manager Fabio Capello.
Peter Kay offered the chance for eight people to have dinner with him and watch the filming of his new show which sold for £16,000.
Joe's parents, Tom and Gwen, of Devon Street, Bury, were at the event. Tom said: "It took the committee 12 months of planning and hard work to the put the event together but it all paid off and the ball was a fabulous success.
