Officers have appealed for residents in Airdrie, Chapelhall and Coatbridge to check gardens and outbuildings for any sign of the 69-year-old.

“I am appealing to local residents in the Airdrie, Chapelhall and Coatbridge areas to keep a look out for John and report any sightings to police.

“I would also ask people to check their gardens and any outbuildings in case he has sought shelter there.

“Anyone with information regarding John’s whereabouts is asked to contact Coatbridge Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 0981 of Monday 13 August 2018.”
