Following the report in last week's News Shopper of the Sharks Swimming Club's great success at Colchester, comes news of another good medal haul in the Special Olympic Regional gala held, appropriately, in Poole.
Orpington's Corinna Beckett won gold in the 50-metre breaststroke, as well as silvers in the 100m freestyle, 4x25m medley and 4x25m freestyle relays.
Daryl Beaumont, from Bromley, won two silvers in the 100m freestyle and 4x25 freestyle relay, plus bronzes in the 50m backstroke and freestyle events.
Chislehurst's Laura Mitchell was a double silver-medlaist in the 50m breaststroke and freestyle, while she also won bronze on the 50m backstroke.
The Sharks Swimming Club trains at the Eric Liddle Sports Centre in Mottingham on Monday evenings and encourages people with any kind of disability to join.
